A good picture is one that captures the essence of the moment whether it is of a person or place.  It stirs an emotion in the viewer's mind and makes them think.  Capturing that exact instant is the challenge.  Preserving and documenting that for a lifetime of memories is the thrill. Memorialising relationships between individuals, families, actors, and nature is exhilarating.

I have always been fond of photography and have worked hard over the years at advancing my skills and knowledge through many courses, books, and studies.  I love capturing individuals, groups and families as they interact with me, the camera and each other.  I love documenting actors and dancers as they perform for an audience and leave everything on stage.  I love freezing time and motion as I travel around the world capturing the essence of the location.

In addition, I love to teach.  I enjoy sharing my passion for photography with others and believe that spending time explaining the capabilities of a mobile phone camera, in conjunction with the composition of a picture, can allow people to soar.

My professional background is Mechanical Engineering with a graduate degree in Business.  This technical training helps me understand the camera mechanisms and be further interested in stretching its capabilities.
