Mobile phone camera technology is advancing at an astounding rate! The phone is always with you and that also means you have a camera ready to go. But have you ever wished you knew how to use all of the features, how to compose a better picture and the ins/outs of achieving that perfect shot?
I have developed two different small group (10 or less people) 3 hour photography courses just for that purpose. Each class costs £60 per participant and includes all handouts and information. Classes are scheduled regularly so complete the contact form to add yourself to the mailing list. Mobile Photography: A practical guide to taking great pictures
We are all photographers. We all carry around a camera everywhere we go as it is part of our mobile phone. The advancements in phone technology, camera mechanics and basic editing, puts the ability in each individual's hands at all times. Join this fun and practical hands-on course, with Photographer Tamar Brooks, to improve your picture taking abilities as you learn to better utilize your phone camera (all brands and models) exploring setup and various modes. In addition review framing, focus, positioning and editing. You will be able to immediately implement the techniques within your environment. All you need to bring is your mobile phone. You will leave the course with new found knowledge, a different perspective and handouts reviewing the concepts taught. This 3 hour course is limited to 10 participants and will be held both indoors and outdoors in London, England.
Mobile Photography: Advanced photography - techniques, tricks and tips
This course is a follow up to the "Mobile Photography: A practical guide to taking great pictures." Join this fun and practical hands-on course, with Photographer Tamar Brooks, and build further on the set of skills learned in the first class. Work on composition, color use, unique picture angles, video mode, focus points, and lots of editing skills/tools. Also learn posing techniques for individuals and groups. Take your mobile photography to the next level and achieve better pictures during your vacations, daily outings, and family portraits. We will both review the new concepts and immediately implement them. All you need to bring is your mobile phone (all brands and models). You will leave the course with new found knowledge, a different perspective and handouts reviewing the concepts taught. This 3 hour course is limited to 10 participants and will be held outdoors in London, England.
Classes are great for a group of adult friends, teens or younger children as a fun/educational birthday party idea!

Prior to taking Tamar's Mobile Photography class my only picture taking strategy was to aim and click. Tamar's class provided me with knowledge of the iphone camera that I had no idea existed. Tamar's class is very hands on with detailed instructions. My class had various IOS and Android users - Tamar was familiar with all of them. After completing the class, I now look at a subject and am able to properly position the phone while utilizing the proper tools resulting in great pictures. Highly recommend Tamar's class!

I attended Tamar's cell phone photography workshop and was blown away with the simple tips she taught us to get professional level shots out of our standard phones. Best 2.5 hours I've spent in a while. Tamar was incredibly prepared, professional, and very accommodating throughout the class. Upon arrival she has a printout of the key takeaways and walked us through them step by step. We then used our new skills with a friend to make sure we knew how to follow the steps. On top of her helpful tips, she gets real life uses cases of kids running away or being in crowded locations and shares what to do in these situations.
